The minimum requirement for any individual performing x-ray procedures in the state of Ohio is that the individual be licensed as a general x-ray machine operator. In order to obtain a license as a general x-ray machine operator, the applicant must attend an educational program accredited by the Ohio Department of Health. After completion of the approved program, the applicant must pass the state license examination.
