California, 2002:
The California Staffing Professionals Association (CSP), the statewide professional association for executive search firms and temporary service firms, has announced the winner of the 2002/2003 Staffing Professional of the Year Award. The winner is Diane Skullr, President & CEO of DEC HealthCare Personnel.
The criteria for the award includes PRODUCTION, EDUCATION, COMPANY INVOLVEMENT & LEADERSHIP, and OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.
Diane Skullr is in the top 25% of agency producers, is Nationally Certified as CTS – Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist, and continues to attend career-related seminars. Her involvement at the company level is above and beyond just recruiting as she is the manager at DEC HealthCare Personnel, responsible for training staff, client and candidate development, and overall teamwork.
On the Board of Directors for both the local CSP Orange County chapter and at the state-level, Diane has been chairperson for Public Relations, Community Service, Newsletter, Strategic Planning, Membership as well as State Director. In June 2001, Ms. Skullr won the CSP Award for the most valuable board member and was also presented the President’s Award. Most recently, she was co-chair of the CSP 8th Annual Educational Forum and was actively involved in the fundraising efforts for Canyon Acres Children’s Services in Anaheim, California, raising nearly $3500.00.
There is a greater awareness today of the added value that professional placement firms can provide. The California Staffing Professionals (CSP) emphasizes the rights and obligations of the clients, candidates and consultants involved in the placement process. They promote education and a standard of ethics and professional responsibility for its membership. CSP represents over 750 offices in California, with thousands of executive search consultants, recruiters and staff.
